Heather, her fourth grade classmate cannot get it every year, just because she has blond hair. Besides, Heather has braces. Katie knows you cannot be crowned Band Princess with braces. Katie is always in the fourth grade. Where did the other fourth grade class go? Katie struggles in a world of a fictional divide and turns to her childhood values and a Website devoted to prayers, and petitions of thanks to St. Therese The Little Flower. Katie places her fears and hopes in St. Therese's smile and shower of roses. Can she endure the torments of her classmates? It’s not her fault that she and Aunt Aggie are poor. A mysterious monk that only Katie can see appears in choir, and her prayers to St. Therese are answered in a way that the child could not have foreseen.
